107 fish 4 sessions of about 4 hours each.

8 Catfish
- 2 on fly and other on bank angling - biggest 6kg

3 Muddies
- All 3 on fly - biggest 900gr

32 Yellowfish (smallmouth) the LM's eluded me
- 30 on fly
- 2 on bankangling

64 Carp
- 2 on fly - biggest 500gr
- 62 bankangling

Carp came out nice from the bank - the bigest was 9kg's and a lot of carp around 5kg's - the smallest on bankangling was 1.7kg

Place  Family farm next to the Vaal River - just past Vredeford at Schoemansdrift

Lucky you mate. Sounds like you had fun. As for me, i had to squeeze in a bit of fishing between work (in Joburg) and family (in Free State). I went to a private farm in kroonstad and camped out for a night. i have every bait possible, milies, worms, supercast, miliebomb, chicken livers and platties. Well all i can say is that i freezed my bottom off, and caught only about 5 smalls carps. I had no luck with barbel even when i tried going for them at 02h00 in the morning.

I made peace that im not going to that dam again. it was torture. i have in the past caught nice size carps but this time i just couldnt understand what was happening. the wind didnt make things easier.
