Going camping end of April for 5 days in Strandfon

Going camping end of April for 5 days in Strandfontein. Have done a search on the forum, but not much info. Any tips on species, baits etc? I also recall hearing somewhere that it's far enough up the coast for a chance of a West Coast Steenbras? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, het jy toe iets gemaak in Strandfontein ? Ek het n paar jaar terug in Maart daar gekamp, n hele paar plekke het belowend gelyk maar ek het geen steenies gekry(aas: bloedwurm, wonderwurm, puddingwurm) !

Sea was very cold and crystal clear. Met a "local" who showed me some promising spots. Apparently, according to the owner of a tackle shop, only snoek and hotties were biting offshore, but I didn't have access to a boat. Next time.
