I really enjoyed the competition. There were plenty of fish caught. It was a species competition maximum 2 species per day. That was a good idea as there was a huge shoal of Yellowfin Tuna and I'm sure they would have got wiped out! It was great to see most of the fish released. Couta could be kept but there was only a few caught. It was a great atmosphere and perfect also for families. The snorkelling (don't know how I got time) was truly amazing I seen huge shoals of bait fish and Yellowfin and Bluefin Kingys in the bay as the locals are not allowed to net there any longer. There was also a choice of accommodation to suit all budgets. The organisation was good from Kirk (GoFish) and Brendan (Dirty Dog) and the help they got from Kirks family who worked tirelessly. The prize giving was however delayed due to the Mozambique officials but most didn't seem to mind as the atmosphere was very festive!!!. I have suggested that next year any spare time could involve a few clinics for the less experienced guys who I'm sure would appreciate the help.

Something that really amazed me was that Racetech Yamaha owner Patrick (who sponsored so much money) attended the event (as did other sponsors) and when I beached on the second day there he was on the red hot beach with his spanners in hand servicing a Jetski !!! Hows that for commitment !!!
