GME 's VHF Radio

Does anyone out there have a GME GX600W  VHF Radio ?

Any good? Any problems?

I have the opportunity to replace my 29 MHZ radio with this VHF radio at a cost of roughly R1500 (additional). Does this sound like the right thing to do?

I would then need a new VHF aerial . Heard that the Pacific is good value at +/- R500 .

Where do I get hold of the Pacific aerial.

Any help will be most appreciated.
