GME GX850 HANDHELD VHF

Hi All

Please can somebody assist me?

I bought a GME GX850 handheld VHF radio

When I turn it on the keypad does not work is there something I am doing wrong?

It sometimes just shows the date which is incorrect and other times a screen with chanel 16 but when pressing the keypads nothing happens?

Your handheld is preset to the rsa emergency frequensy. Mine is the same. If you change to your local channel it should work but will automatically go back to 16
