Well I must have all 3 lures finished by the end of the month, with different variations of each. As you know I plan to test them in Dec. Going to test the Cutlass and redeye off DBN, Hibberdene and Port St Johns and the Glassy in DBN harbour around the sandbanks then will give them to someone to test for me in the winter months.

The detail will be carved in, but the variations are in the swimming lips,colours and two other things. I don't want to mention them now incase I don't use them and then I'm just shouting my mouth off.

I've been playing with molds for a long time.

For your first attempt that is excellent work.

I shudder to think what you'll be cranking out by this time next year.

The profile of the sample is symetrical, it just looks right and they say if it looks right.........

This has turned into one hell of a hobby I've got to keep resisting the temptation to start another one before my others are finished.

I tried sticking to my drawing as far as possible, it came out a bit bigger but that's ok.

You will see by the drawing that where the dorsal is usually positioned on a fish I've put loops to add tassel type duster type clip on feathers. I think it will help get the fishes attention. I'll make different colours for different conditions.

It's become obvious to me that I just won't complete the redeye lure in time for testing in December, but I'm sure I'll find someone on Sealine prepared to test it for me when I eventually finish it.

I did however finish the Glassy and am quite happy with it. I'm hoping it works in the harbours and estuaries.

These are the 3 glassy lures I got round to making before I accidentally broke the Plaster of paris mould. I'm only going to make the silicone mould after I have tested the lure in case I need to make any changes. My wife made one of these and is adamant she's going to get a bigger fish on hers, I hope she does. Well hopefully I'll be able to really put the time in and test these lures and post a feedback in early January.

I seriously like those. What did you use for the flash?
Also please tell me how you polish them. Do you have a polishing wheel?

What weight are they?
