strange thing happened,

i was getting shocked with my rods, it was not just a single static shock
but more of a continuos spark that i felt run through me and heard quite audibly -

it happend just before i was about to cast out - when this happened i got a bit scared and put my rods down

it wast raining or storming was slightly over cast and breezy?

i cant understand it then it happened with my uncles rods also.

rods were beast masters and fox rods

hi naturo

thats the thing i wasn't any where near power lines,

im just worried about what would of caused this?
or if in future i try and cast and it triggers some sort of
freak lightning bolt to appear from nowhere?

it is my work to investigate lightning damage.
you need to understand how all works.

i'll try:
rainy season starting, this with seasonal change spring- summer.

"august winds" dry earth and lots of wind.
so all the dust particles etc are being charged as they are rubbing against each other etc.

the clouds coming in, is also electrically charged.
negative at the bottom, positive on the top of the could.
and obviously, positive down on the ground.

so as the clouds move in, positive moves to neg and visa versa.

at a point, the two meet "called runners", they only if you wanna call it, shake hands.
with the two meeting, the lightning bolt comes down.

the loud thunder you hear is the air exploding

that's, why as you stated, it was breezy.

so as ek jy was, pas op boet. mens poep nie teen weerlig nie.

ok so every one just as a end note, to be aware of this:

there is a constant light shocking through the hand which u feel, you can hear the snapping and arking sound of the sparks being created, it almost has a crackling sound from the rod. indicating this high static in the area is a possible sign of a lightning strike.

so don't take any stupid chances fishing with your rods!!!
