General Rule for Catching Big & Small mouth yellow fish

Morning Guys,I need some assistance,Who can help me with rules for the general catching of big & small mouth yellow fish...with regards to club comps & Rules for South Transvaal please...As I understand it,any thing less than 300mm must go back & are not allowed in your net, But some say one can catch 6 for weighing in...What is the correct rule...

There isn't a general rule. It depends on which province you're in and what that province's nature conservation ordinance state.
In a perfect world I would say to look what your fishing licence says, but first of all where do you licences for all the provinces these days, and even if you do get a licence chances are that the regulations printed on the licence are out of date. Especially yellow fish regulations in some provinces seems to change faster than the reprinting of licences.

C&R of largemouth yellows (TOPS legislation), no rules for smallmouth though I personally feel that they should also be released as it is doubtful that they will survive after a long period in a kiepnet
