caught these two garrick at sandspit over the weekend,the first one was on plug and the second one was on live mullet.

tackle used was pentagon light HMG  and grandwave 40.

BEAUTIFUL FISH JUST HAVE TO ASK WHY TAKE TWO OUT WHEN YOU CAUGHT THEM.THE LEERIE IS NOT A PARTICULARLY NICE TASTING FISH PLUS YOU CAN RELEASE THIS BEAUTIFUL SPECIMEN AND PROVIDE YOURSELF WITH MANY MORE BRILLIANT MOMENTS JUST FROM ONE FISH.SURELY THE THRILL OF CATCHING THOSE FISH WAS BETTER THAN EATING IT.JUST A THOUGHT!!!!

sorry guys, the first leerie i caught was on plug so i kept it.the second leerie i caught was on live bait and it swallowed my hook,i did not know i hooked it until i was packing up to go home and when i reeled in my line the leerie was on!

Hey, I eat them. Don't feel bad, your'e quite entitled legally to keep them. They are after all, over size and not bad curried or pickled. I find a good cook can serve any fish dish well!

i just moved to the traansvaal, we catch barbull up here, want to swop your "garrick" for a nice 8kg barbull? il even throw in a Hennie Parpenfuss DVD ...
