Garmin screen gone dark.

Howzit guys


Does anyone know why a Garmin 420s screen would suddenly go very dark, I was fishing yesterday and all was well, switched off the unit and when I switched it back on the screen was so dark I couldn't read it (just make out that it's on) Does the Garmin 420s have a back light that may have gone like the old laptops ?

Could be the back light is turned down on most finders you press the power button quickly to adjust it
