I purchased a Garmin Hand held GPS a few months ago from a chap who has now immigrated.
Anyway, when i opened the battery compartment, i noticed the battery acid had leaked out.
I cleaned up as much as possible and put new batteries in.
It worked 100's for about 2 weeks and then suddenly went off the blink.
I've tried rubbing the battery contact points and again opening it up for another careful clean up.
But its still not working.
Do any of you guys do repairs or can you refer me to someone in the Durban or surrounding areas that does do repairs to hand held GPS's
My contact number is 0720822837
Cheers
Mike
