It seems the right Garmin agents for the Fishfinders etc are based in Cape town.
Within 5 mins of e-mailing the CT Branch I had a phone call from one of the guys down there appologising for the poor service response from the JHB branch and everything has been resolved.
So any future problems with GArmin Fishfinders get hold of the CT branch those chaps are switched on and very efficient.
