I have been offered a Garmin 298 FF/GPS unit which is now a discontinued Garmin product which I plan to fit to a Stealth BFS. The only downside I see is that it is quite a lot bigger than the Echo 100 I was looking at but that would need to be combined with a GPS hand held unit. Anyone with experience with the 298 on a ski? Comes with blue charts.
