hi there. Try tom se klip. In betties bay. Went down there sat morning, first cast got a nice size gallie. 40cm. my first one for the season.

Great Stuff Trophy! do you by any chance know the name of the spot?, and does the spot produce on a NW, or SE., I would think a NW when there is colour in the water, Id like to know some more info as ive never fished the deep water spots for gallie in that area?, apparently there are monster 4 kilo gallies lurking there because its so underfished

howzit ADI. Sorry about getting back so late. you take the first turn off at betties. stay on that road till u get to a peach double story house. It sits on the corner on your right hand side, that streets name is park street. Turn right. go all the way down. you will get to a gravel parking area. walk past dustbin over bridge(small bridge) follow path onto beach. u can cast right there between the bricks or walk right till end off rocks. thats where i went on dad. Along that piece of beach u also get steenbras. good luck. hope u get a couple of on dads.
Hi Reef... just got back in now from a blank trip. went out to pringle on the road to hangklip. parked off. got 2 nice takes but no cigar. was targeting gallies but i reckon a sbras took the bait, no nibble just a clean hard take but hook didn't set. after that deadtime :-( water was freezing. guys on boat also had no luck in the area. gonna check your spot out over the weekend. what setup do i use there? trace? hook size, trace lenghts? ps. can i stop prawn anywhere over there? thanks for the reply and directions.

Sorry to hear about your "Blank" day. i get a lot of those. I use a non sliding trace, about 30cm sinker trace. My hook trace about 40cm and a 2/o hook. For bait i used a nice piece of vrot redbait. About getting prawn... sorry i can't help you there. (don;t know where) Iv'e heard at Rooi-els there is prawn on the sand banks, but never tried there myself. i however do know by Hanklip slip way on your right hand side there is some nice wonderworm. I have taken out there myself. Depending on what happening on the weekend, i might be going to Betties myself but not 100% sure yet. If you see a white Honda in the parking area, i am there! Hopefully u will get a couple of good pulls and land it.

As you enter Strand, there's a Engen garage on the left. Park in the parking opposite, and walk through the dunes, onto the beach, walk to the Right, there is a fencing (which is the reserve on the other side), right next to this fencing, cast straight in... Galjoen/steenbras/kob/kolstert.
further down, just before the Jetty, kolstert/galjoen/belman etc
Then next to the indoor pool. (Blakes and the beach down there)
then there is the reefs after Blakes.. Hermansgat/steenbrasgat/eiland/oumansgat/toring/mosselbank/kleinhel/groothel... all those places.. potent spots.
then there is gordons bay, and the coastline to follow all the way, which takes you to hangklip/betty's etc..
