Full moon

We're planning a fishing trip to Henties. Some people say you should not fish 2 days before and 2 days after full moon. Is this true or does full moon not have an influence on whether you may catch or not? Thanks

Hi Keith

Have a look at this webpage (Henties Bay Tides), we arrive there on the 28 Feb, this more or less correlate to our experience, best fishing was on the falling tide in the evenings, wasn't much happening between over the weekend of the 6/7 March, also have a look at this thread (Henties Bay Trip), these guys will post a detailed report when they are back, feel free to contact Chris or Sardyntjie, they will gladly assist you.

Fishing was good


Got our bag limits with the cob & galjoen, and a couple of odd kolsterte, won't mention a word about the illusive (for us) steenies!  Seeing Chris's thread this morning makes me very green with jealousy!
