Good Day

I went carp fishing with some friends this weekend. I have 12 ft" velocity V2 rods and cast a fair distance.
One guy has old Purglas 4m rods, I was amazed with the distance he cast, easily at 150 m to 170 m.

Then he said I should try his rods. Was I amazed I reached roughly the same distance as he.

What is the big difference, and can you get hold of Purglas rods?

I've got one... I don't R&S at all anymore... I seem to remember it being a 400/1. But I'd happily part with it if you are interested. Just a helluva mission transporting a 4m rod

Yes transporting is normally difficult.
