Fresh skippers ticket

Hi guys,

On behalf of a friend I was just wanting to find out about what the requirments are to launch a boat and fish in our dams, regarding skippers tickets, boat registration, safety equipment etc.

Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Ryan

According to my knowledge and skippers done for cat R the following would apply

Cat E (1 nautical mile) - Bouyancy required 60%

Cat R (inland Dams , rivers, harbours and estuaries)-Bouyancy required 30%

I have a 15nm Surf launch ticket and any saltwater ticket covers Freshwater

True better to do Cat E or Cat C as to upgrade is not an option. Just ensure boat complies with Cat C or Cat E.
