Im not sure if you mentioned in the post but how many hours actually went into the overhaul? What are the plans for the cabin? Will there be a drivers seat for the skipper?

really have no idea how many hours was spent on her, didn't really keep track, but it was ALOT.

Seat, nope no seat, it just takes space and gets in the way, and I prefer to stand while being behind the steering.

The cabin, well 2 plans, one setup will be for the family, with a mattress and so forth and the other is for fishing, with anything and everything fishing related, the idea is to take the one unit out and put the other unit in, depending on what's being done.

The cabin is big enough for wife and 2 children to sleep while I fish the river, call it a "family outing" ...

Well done!!! , I restored a small little cabin boat once and its a hell of a lota work!, so judging on the size of your dream machine i can just imagine!

She looks really great but she lacks a lot of things! They include blood, screaming reels, bended rods etc!

Well Nielg, you sure did a great job in turning the ugly duckling into a beautiful mermaid. A major plus point is her history. Being ex-NSRI, think of the many people in distress that she helped save (like you saved her). You must try and get her history from the NSRI, like the amount of rescues she was involved with etc. and frame it with the before and after photos. Well done, I wish you many happy fishing trips. :clap12

Ps. my little cabin boat needs an overhaul, when can I send her over. lol

still busy with her, time and money being the limiting factor ! but things are happening slowly but surely

Deadline is Friday, everything needs to be finished by then, then it's to the river to test and set everything !!

By the end of the month I want MOST WANTED seaworthied and within 3 weeks she must be FISHING and posting PICS

only draw back at this stage is funds for all the seaworthy equipment, but since it's a neccessity I'll just have to make a plan ... SOMEHOW

I wouldn't know, not superstitious.

I wanted a deep sea boat the most, therefore the name is MOST WANTED

and when I one day win the lotto and buy myself a Scooby STI it will be labelled ALWAYS WANTED

and when things go wrong then ... NEVA WANTED

Lol, I love you're thought pattern on naming them.

According to tradition it can be bad luck to re name a boat, but I too am not superstitious, and I honestly put no value in most old tradtions.

But to answer the question, the re naming thing would not apply to Neil's boat, because she was stripped to the hull and basically rebuilt, therefore, she is pretty much new and needs a new name.

By the way Neil, that was an awesome job, and she looks great, I hope we see some pics of her on the water soon, and more importantly, with some nice full hatches.

Neil, did you manage to trace her history? She is a fine lady and I think that fishing from her would be great. Well done!!!
