Herewith a pm to someone that's ask for info.

Paradise Beach is extremly productive at the best of times. I have encountered almost all the species that we get in and around our coastline. If you head through paradise beach past the old airfield and golf course on your right hand side towards St Francis Bay you drive until you get to an old entrance/launch site that leads down to the beach - It's just past the water tower - You cant miss it - From there you can fish on either the right hand side of a structure leading out to sea. On the immediate right of this structure there used to be a nice gully running through but beware you get stuck here quite often. Here you can literally encounter anything from Blacktail, poensie, MASSIVE sharks, raggies, blue rays, cob, elf, etc etc etc. The list is indefinate. Your terminal tackle should consist of a pyramid (sand bottom patches) or teardrop (rocky patches) Depending on your tackle I would recommend 3 - 4 ounces and if you use heavier tackle and can cast well up to a 6 ounch as the water normally has quite a drag left and right. Very clean chokka and pilchards works wonders and I use to even do swimbait from the beach there. I once sawm a 40 kg's bronzie and got busted up quite quickly, possibily by a nice Zambi. If the water is very clear as it sometimes gets try using mullets and other meaty baits. Secret - If you go over the lagoon between paradise beach and ashton bay look out for the pipes that lets the water through underneath the road - That's an excellent place to get big fat mullets - Using a fresh head cut just behind the dorsal fin will almost ALLWAYS get you action with the notorius HUGE gulley sharks there - I have personally gotten them up to 40kg's and beyond. The area that leads up to the Krom River is also very productive and if you want to do a bit of walking get as close as you can to the JBay side of the Krom mouth - Again an excellant place for Bronzies, Raggies, Blue Rays and even the occasional cow shark. If you are after pan sizes like steenies, blacktail, zebras and the like make sure you have some prawns. This is also a spot where you will find some good size Yellow Belly Rockcods

If you need any further info just shout and I will oblidge
I tend to like the left side better, more sandy, quiete often you get some nice sandbanks that forms. Ideal for Cob.

Also at the Mouth of the Seekoei (Between Aston & Paradise) on the Paradise side is delivering great Cob lately.

Hi Fstander & MouseDog, I have just moved down to St Francis so I m new to this area and would like to hook up with some of you.

The " of a structure leading out to sea" you ref is this  the Paradise old jetty ?:fishn

Hi guys!!

Just wanted to let you know i went out this past weekend to Paradise beach to try for some non-eds. I swam a 10 kg bronzie on my SL50SH with 300m of braid and +- 400m of KFGA 35lb and got run off clean within 10 min. The Sunday I rigged up again and unfortunately lost what seem to have been a nice raggie on a 7 kilo bronzie caught earlier. Must be some monsters in the water.

Hoping to be back there SOON!!!!

A PE boy living in Cape Town... missing the gentle conversation of PE folk. The so-called Mother City leaves a lot to be desired on the fishing front. You should read the posts regarding spots like Rooikrantz... madness. PE = Friendly City??? Hell Yes!!! PE and proud!

Fishing Eastern Cape - Jeffreys Bay

The Best Fishing Book available!

Jeffrey's Bay - Experience Fishing like a local.

Hi guys and gals!

There are currently hundreds of fishing books available in South Africa, but not a single book available that tells you WHERE to fish and collect bait, WHAT bait and traces to use for your targeted specimen and HOW to fish in Jeffrey’s Bay.

The Kouga Express, Jeffrey's Bay's local newspaper featured an article on Experience Fishing like a local on 13 January 2011.

Anglers always want to know where the best fishing areas are and what fish species can be caught here. Leon Vermeulen Jr, a local angler, used his 30 years angling experience to write this book for all avid anglers.
Jeffrey's Bay Experience Fishing like a Local, is a guide for young and old and contains information on all fishing grounds, including GPS co-ordinates, as well as aerial photographs illustrating the most popular areas.
Al the different methods of making traces and preparing bait are clearly explained and also how to identify the correct bait and preserve it.
The different knots are neatly illustrated step-by-step.The full colour book consists of 170 pages.

As I said in an earlier post:I've got a few nice spots for you to try, here are the GPS co-ordinates:

S 34 02 124 E 24 55 856:Fish it just left of the rocks on the right with red bait or crab.

S 34 01 008 E 24 55 669:When you reach the parking spot, you will see some rocks on the right, fish just left or walk about 300 metres to the left where the kabeljous river made a gulley, there is a patch of smooth water where you can catch some kob if the gallies aren't biting, use white mussels or chokka.

S 34 02 848 E 24 55 560:There is a large white mansion straight behind it with a flat white roof, you will see a spot that is a gap between the rocks where I have caught a few different species.

S 34 03 051 E 24 55 504:When you get to this spot you will find a large number of rocks, walk to the right side and either cast straight from the right point of the rocks or fish just to the right.

Hope this helps!
