Hi Guys, sorry for the long delay in thanking you or reporting back.....*&%$# computers and #$%* pin numbers *&%$#$%*!!!
But it was a great day out, my grl & I enjoyed it even though we caught zero fish, but we stayed to the bitter end and I can now report by that staying that little bit longer and putting in that extra effort - absolutley changed nothing - still empty handed!!
I'm embarrassed to say we left there empty handed, but did enjoy meeting you guys, and we had a long chat and drink with Dave...do you guys know there's another dam that none of us went to? - thanks for the invite Johan

Fishing was awesome and it is very possible to pick up fish in the spawn as long as you can find nests. I am going to join thee place but probably only at the end of the month. Spawn doesnt take long and not all the fish spawn at exactly the same time, so fishing should pick up after the bit of heat we had this week. Lat week the wind cooled the water and I think that also played a part.

Well fishing was defiantly down from the week before due to the strong winds that blew the day before and the water temp dropping. You could see loads of big fish but unfortunately none of them wanted to commit to any bait. Monster took his fish of a nest which were the only way we could get fish. I took my fish on the second or third cast on a spinner bait but that was where it stayed. The rest of the fish were nothing to write home about. I took 2 fish over a kilo and the rest of them were around the 700 to 800 gram mark.
