was lucky enough to spend a few hours with one of the top Japanese lure manufacturers and he was kind enough to drop me a few inhouse tips on foiling that you see on some of the more expensive  japanese lures . this was done in the airport lounge so forgive the pic quality .

Cool! Do you guys think I could do that with a wooden lure, I'm gonna get stuck behind the lathe when I get home!

Damn, feeling left out. Now I also got to post a pic.

@DJP - You can. Just remember to foil one half, cut the foil straight, then foil the other half. You wont stretch the foil all around the lure.

Thanks BennieJ! Is this as simple as using household foil and gluing it to the lure of choice, or is there something I'm missing? How durable is the foil?

What glue would you guys use on foils that is not "pre-glued", would you use different glues on wood and lead lures, and how would you apply the glue (to the foil or to the lure; paint on or spray on?)
