Thanks to 10kg maxima otherwise there would have been a lot of fishing swimming around with lip studs!

Lol, since these fish have infested most of our waters we have no choice but to catch a few. We are not targeting anything big because there is just no landing a large cat on 6wght fly rod and everytime we take some heavier gear murphy comes along as well. Biggest landed thus far was around 7 kg and thats pushing the limits. Have hooked up a few brutes but they either run you into structure, bend the hooks or break something els!

Deon the worst is... when these 2 bliksempies aren't nailing the barbel on fly, they are either catching 40cm plus galjoen or 20kg kobs....

Amen one is going overseas for a while there might be fish left for a bit... I'm certain they'll send him back quick because he'll be chasing all their fish around over there...

Damn, i wish they would INFEST our water... we got way too little barbel according to my liking.

Perhaps there is some or other reason why i have a 9wt flyrod in the cupboard....LOL

Nice going there. I see that VB is like a magnet....you just can't stay away.
I wanted to go try it out today but the weatherman's put a dead stop to this idea. I'm off tomorow and weather might be better and then I'll be there early
