Does a convential style work at florida or is strictly specimen and what is the record to come out and what species are there?

Yes it does but not as consistantly as with specimen rigs and baits.

My best was 8 fish in a day smallest 8kg biggest just over 18kg

Dam also holds Barbel, European Perch and Largemouth Bass

One thing to remember is that the fish are under immense pressure and special care must be taken in handling and releasing the fish.

The regulars at the dam are very keen to make sure that the fish are not maimed or removed from the lake so please handle the fish with care and respect ie no knotted landing nets, use a wet unhooking mat and return the fish once photographed, don't even consider using a keepnet, that will cause a fight.

i totally agree! it 1 of the better dams so fish must have the best care and i dont see why someone would not relaease it tn the dam fishing is about plannin and the fighting the fish amd shnuld always be realesed so is their yellow fish muddies nd kurper?

i have only seen 2 in real life and it was very small, 7-8cm. i dont think they get that big. i think the record is around 10kg..


But hey im no expert, maybe some of the other guys knows...

Huh?  Bruggie you ok? The last post here was in may, I am just trying to find out if you need to be a member at a club to fish there i think jughead has forgotten about this thread long ago.

Have you fished there before?
