I found that some of the floats bottles don't always seal that great, the floats tend to dry out (I only use soft floats and not the hard ones).

 

I found that the Disprin or Panado bottles seal floats very well.

Enigma told me that Glyserine preserves most fishing baits so......

 

I put my floats in these empty pill bottles, add a few drops Glyserine, shake them well.

My floats don't dry out and they are preserved.

I spoke to a Speciman Angler the other day and he says that he uses glyserine in preserving his tigers and boilies as well.

Somebody told me that the bottles they use for urine samples also work great.

Was at the pharmacy today but they don't sell those bottles (person behind the counter tried hard to keep himself from laughing when I asked for those bottles).


Enigma, I tasted a Caramel X float the other night and yes it is covered with a salty mix just like you said. If I may ask, what is the reason for the salty covering? Think it may help for catching less yellow's?
