Almost any So called tackle store sells the fin chaser. Even corner hardware stores. I think they go for between 200-300 in a combo with a reel. If you are looking for large eds I think you will have to go with another setup, although it can be done with the fin chaser.

To be honest ... R500 is a tad bit low for a decent multiplier !!! ..Keep an eye on the classifieds section here !!!

Gud luck mate !~!!

Go to game. They have nice big coffee grinders there for about R300-R350. Instant anti reverse, 3 bearings, nice line capacity, aluminium spool. I think they would be better than the bigger fin chaser reels because I dont think they will twist as much when reeling in... Oh and you'll have money left for a nice 6ft fin chaser combo ;-)

If you wanna buy a reel to match that rod (I suspect it to be 13 or 14ft) and you wanna stay in yr budget i would suggest you get a Simano Nexave 10000. You'll find them at around R500-600. Load it up with 60lb braid(if you can fit that into yr budget too otherwise 0.40mono) . I have one of these and put a buddy of mine into a 90kg Raggie on a Shimano Exage 1224 rod. He pulled it pronto...the reel stood up to it. Considering you only targeting large eds it will be 100%.

You can look at the Elbe range of reels, not bad at all. Otherwise, take a shot at the Okuma Magnetix range, also not bad
