Used to have about 9 flavours in my box, but decided to make it simple and only use a plain white and a plain yellow. And it works for me. I am thinking of adding an orange (cina) and floro (fx) floatie again, but I KNOW that I will just stick to the plain ones. I'd rather consider changing the size of my bait, distance that I cast and lastly the boldips I'm using, than what colour/flavour floatie I'm using. My 2c.

Thats because you haven't fished with Dean Pelser's soft Banjo floats

In our recent league series over 3, 6 matches all our teams fished the Trident ad Infamous soft floats of Carp World and we won the league Ladies, Seniors and Juniors and proceded to win the

League Final (Team)

and myself the Individual winner. 2 floats on each hook and no dough with 33 carp for thew Day and Catch 995 took the biggest fish on 2 Trident soft floats at 4.86kg

We also won the nationals last year using Skunk, trident and HBS soft floats

Our Juniors placed 2nd at Nationals with Trident and Cina 1 soft floats (in the Vaal Dam)

In competitive carp fishing we use flavoured soft floats, Sweetcorn / Trident / Infamous / HBS / Cina 1 in the first 48 hours or till the fish are confidently feeding on the boilies and with 5 tons of fish in 6 compo's last year I can safely say they work for myself and Catch 995.

I personally prefer the hard plain floatie option and fish the line fish are feeding on but there is just no denying the value of the Soft flavoured floats.

There is a wide enough range to match your style of angling and I suggest only 3 or 4 flavours in your box and specifically those that match your angling style and local dams, but you will never go wrong if you have Trident in the Box

It's a blend of 3 flavours but the base is Garlic.

MG Angling was doing the dip and floaties but they have liquidated as of yesterday and Carp World in conjunction with AfriCast (CDS Angling as sponsor on this site) are now doing it.

No the competition range of dips that Marius and i had at MG are those that will be done by Carp World and they're just about all the flavours you are using except VRM, but that's not impossible to make either
