Hi All,

I didn't fish the past weekend but my buddies caught some nice nize Bronze bream at Gledhow beach. I also heard reports of the guys catching Bronze bream and shad at Zinkwazi beach main carpark. A garrick was caught in the surf on Sunday at Umvoti mouth.

I fished on sunday 8th October at Jex's corner rock and picked up two large Bronze bream and a fellow angler landed a fine mussel cracker (8Kgs) on mussel bait during low tide on the rocks.

At Stanger beach, shad are a nuisance and the guys are picking up some greys and black tail.

If you are targeting inedibles then the place to be is Tugela Mouth. In the past week two raggies weighing 156Kg and 224 Kg were landed on live mullet.

I was planning to fish on Sunday but unfortunately we have a major shutdown at work and will most probably be at work. I have attached a pic of my bud with two bronze bream caught on Sunday.

Regards and good luck.

Hey guys,

I keep hearing that durban harbour is fishing very very well but unfortunately for those of you that don't own a boat it's going to be difficult. I have not had the time to launch. At this time of year the kingi's, queeni's, big grunter, stumpie and a few other species start "running". Let's just say i am itching to get out there.

i will try to keep you guys posted.....

Tight lines........Hunters :)

Hi Harry,

Please tell me how you are fishing for kingi's and queeni's in the bay from your boat.

What traces, lures, baits, etc and are you trolling and where in the bay is the best spots. Any info will help.

will really appreciate the advise.

Thanks

Hi guys, sorry i could not give you guys any info earlier. Sunkist is just before suncoast, a short wide pier. Daytime seems safe, Night fishing must be done with 3 to 4 guys. Parking is noty safe at night. BUt guys dont worry we always have a plan. I f you willing to walk a little. Pay 5 rand parking in suncoast and walk through the walk way down to the beach. lotsa street kids/adults sleep around there at nite, walk together. Its one of my fav grounds for edibles. All the best

Hi Guys.

Wow, I had no idea so many of you guys fished the Sunkist area.

I fished there a few times, but was constantly worrying about my car being safe even during the day. So the experience wasn't too great. I much prefer Blue Lagoon, where I can see my car at all times.

How many of you guys fish the Blue Lagoon area. I'm always up at the front on the rocks. Mostly every Weekend.

I Want to fish at Beachwood, but again, I worry about my car, if any of you guys wanna go to Beachwood, maybe we can go together. Let me know.

So if you guys are ever at the Blue Lagoon on the weekend, give me a shout: 083 494 8934.

Ronald.

Hi Sea Witch

On the topic of queenies and kingies season play there part .

We should start getting kingies now ,I get a lot of 1-3kg kingies from Pelikan Island down towards the centre bank in the early morning on lures.I use the catch its that look as close to a mullet as possible. You also stand a chance of a Pick Handle Cuda.

You have just missed the queenies in full swing near the mouth on small mullet but if you drift a cracker or fish bottom in the area you could still get the stragglers.

from reading your insert i presume that you are either on a boat or a paddle ski and drifting along the edge of the bank?
