Fishing the Hennops

I found a lovely spot in the stix this past weekend, you literally need a 4x4 to get there, its muddy, slippery, and it's desolate.  they way I like it.

Now, my experience with river fishing has been, well, boring as all hell.  I fished the Vaal, and some obscure river outside Heilbron.

How is river fishing different from dam-fishing, considering I'm an old-skool papgooi kinda girl, and I'm only getting into silicone wiggly goodies. 

What is there to catch in the Hennops, apart from Cholera? has the pollution killed everything?

How do I fish a river in flood?  Or just a generally dirty river?

I havent seen this spot in non-flood state, so Im not so sure about rocks, embankments, etc.

hennops.. dunno.. but .. when i lived in morningside you will not belive but my flatmate caught a barbel on fli in the river outside our morning side flat.. this was 2004..

the past weekend was quite muddy this is what my FUNNER looked like after turning away from steyns mudd pitt. ..

There is some nice place that combine 4x4 with feeshing.. In the getaway or weg..
