I use my waft G5 for basicly anything. I have 3 fellow anglers in my club who both got the mako. realy nice rod. I want one 2, but dont have the bucks at the moment. however the mako is light, cheap and definitely worth it. :pFor R1500 you cant realy compare it with another rod.

Very, very interesting...

This G5, where does it fit in with the iron feather, the musselcracker, mako etc etc - these WAFT names are all a bit confusing and not really explaining anything??

the g5 is a rod designed for uk rock fishing, similar to the conditions in Pearly beach. plenty of rocks and kelp. has a few distance world records to it's name. major difference is designed for pendulum casting

hooked!

Have you tried the loomis sharky- 8-9 ounce easy. cost only R950-00 with culg heavy duty guides on our reason trip to hle in the wall it matched the assassin hmg heavy pull for pull!

Guys just remember loomis has a wide range and you can have your rod custom built as well for a fraction of the assassin price.

just my new 5 cent comments;)
