Fishing red hooks...silver!!! St. Lucia 15/11/08

Deadly D and myself decided to give St.Lucia lake a bash with ultra light tackle. Armed with flick sticks, size 10 and 20 coffee grinders and line as light as 2kg.... we set about our things.

With the usual competition between the two of us, we were soon into the nursery and tallying up on fish really fast. Fishing with red number 6 hooks and small ball sinkers, we were really having a ball.

Species ranged from Saddle Back Grunter, Yellow Fin Bream, Tigers, a big eye kingie and a malabar rockod. Springer were seen cruising the surface n we could only kick ourselves for not bringing our drop shot or plugs with. A few guys hooked up on drop shot but had their hooks thrown with some magnificient airial display.

We kinda lost count after the 30 odd mark on both of our accounts. Looking at our hooks, the red color was non existant. ;)

In a 2 hour stint, we landed and released a good 65 odd fish with no fatalities.

Awsome fun indeed!!!

Fish ON!!!!!!
