Thought as much, and you sayingthey on spawn after the rain............ What rain, huh?

Anyhow, this is just my luck, get okayed by the Boss to go and then the wind blows so hard that DADUCKY will be better applied for kite-surfing than for LGF :uzi, damn, hope it dies down B4 the weekend though.....

I'll be in Knysna over November, and in East London in December... Can't wait man!! I need a break!!!

My boet has some private venue in Knysna he's gonna take me to for some LGF as well. I haven't fished for BASS since my trip with you guys!!!

But I am quite keen on getting some salt on my stick and rubbers.........

That sounds great,  I sure you're almost completely dehidrated starved out and almost insane for some LGF on the line.

I'm planning to get some serious salt on mine too before the end of the school holidays this year. Naytal my bru, naytal...... Tugela, Sodwana, Cape Vidal and Kosi are my target areas and these are all targets for the remainder of the year with Sods probably in March next year....

It's sort of raining here today too... Johan, will Bass come on the bite with a vengeance after rain you think?

Bud, I've been conditioned to think that, they're all waiting for the 1st rains (probs major rains) so that they can then get on with the actual shagging part of the spawn process, so I don't think the male's will be very active ito of feeding, also remember something that the females after laying the eggs goes off into the deep waters to do some serious resting before going into full-on feed mode again, so fish that we might catch will be out of protection of the nests and not due to feeding, well that's what I was made to believe, truely hope I'm Completely WRONG!!!!

First off LGF is on the ball 100% with his statement. The female moves of in to deeper water for up to 7 weeks to recover before feeding again. But there is still females feeding before the next spawn. Not all bass spawn at the same time to balance the system out and to make sure more bass fry makes it. And some even spawn more than once. I have actually caught a female in February wile spawning.

Males that are caught now will be from protecting the nest and will not actually go for the lure. But they are caught in the process of moving the bait out of the nests. After the eggs hatched, then it is game on because for the first couple of days of the little fries live the male bass will protect them and will viciously attack the lure or any predator that comes close to them

Some of them will but some of them will be busy with the spawn. And actually while they busy with the spawn you can forget about catching them.  Unless you foul hook them or something like that

I'm confused mate.....where did you go? Homestead?

Problem with places like homestead and plenty other dams is safety! Often enough you sit peacefully with your family and enjoy the fishing outing then suddenly 2 or more "DIVING SUITS" appear and shoot you with someone's stolen 9mm in the ass.......this is a real problem. There are certain places that my brother in law and myself fish and we always take our handguns with for protection, it's hard enjoying yourself if you always have to look around who wants to tit you.

"SIGH"

While on the subject of guns let me tell you guys something, i bought a new 9mm CZ75B pistol and have been waiting for my license for about 9 hundred years already!! South Africa is a great place to live in!! Do you know what this spesific weapon costs?? I paid a fortune for something that's still lying at Lyttelton skietbaan!
