Oh my goodness, so we cannot eat anything anymore, cause i mean if fish feels pain arte terrified and traumatised by us viscious anglers, then so too must the vegies we eat become terrified and traumatised when the farmer comes down the road with the weed control and other insecticides, not too even mention when he arrives with the reaper, oh my please make it stop, I cannot take their endless screaming anymore, oh and lets not even mention KFC .....

Hi All,
I just had a good laugh at all your responses as they were my sentiments exactly.
I suppose we will always have to put up with people who do not eat anything but do half baked research and get paid for doing so.
I wonder how many fish they interviewed during their research to get their opinion on pain and the other bs.

The unfortunate reality of the matter is that this is not a "Mickey Mouse organisation'',on the contrary they are funded by some very wealthy people and interlink with various other organisations who share these sentiments.Their agenda is to target the youth (probably the same strategy used by Cigarette companies many moons ago),because they are at a gullible age,and if this is instilled very young ,it remains with them forever.(much like smoking)
Do a search, this has been discussed before ,and should provide some interesting reading,if you have not heard of them before.They have done some "good' work as well,when they offered a US$1000-00 reward for the first police arrest made on the Reunion -island,for anglers using live-dogs as sharkbait.Apparently the reward has been paid out.(if memory serves me right)

It's actually sad to see what such Narrow minded people think. They make Anglers out to be ruthless and insensitive, where I feel that the learned Angler has more respect for let alone the fish but the environment as well, more than the many people who are not interested in Fishing.
Interesting about all the TOXINS in the flesh, but in all honesty almost anything we eat these days is said to eventually have a 'bad effect' on our health.

Note how they chastise fisherman for harming the poor little sea kttens, but then in the next stance they say that mercury levels in sea kitten meat is very dangerous for human consumption. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
