Hi Beastmaster

I was there 2 weeks ago and got quit a few on a deegie mixed with iceing sugar, a plain floatie diped in vaaldam or garlic or butter vanila or perdeby . I usely go past the big blue boat and pick a spot on that side.

Caught lots of carp during December with plain yellow floats with sweet white dough backing dipped in almond and FX Bunspice gumtree on the ball.

Not where we were sitting. If you turn right after you go through the fence, just past the bunch of big trees on the right hand side. Lost maybe 3 traces for the whole weekend.

I have lost about 5 tracers , the guys that were next to me have lost quiet a few. It just depends on where you sit .

Where is Boschkop dam?  I s it a good spot in winter as well?

It's at the Vaal Dam. Close to Steyns and Vaal Marina. Any winter fishing you need some patience.

Winter fishing is always good with Old Brown Sherry, just a tip. I my self am at Boschkop this weekend, from Sunday through to Monday.

Situated 20km north of Potchefstroom on the Carletonville road (R501). Turn left at the Rysmierbult/
Muiskraal turnoff, go over the Mooi River and turn left immediately after the bridge.

If I'm not mistaken the dam near potch is Boskop Dam and Boschkop is at the Vaal dam.

The map posted above is propably the easiest way. Take the N3 past Heidelberg until you get the Villiers offramp. Then travel towards Vereeniging. Not sure what the distance is to Boschkop from the N3, but you should see a sigh saying AHV and then a sigh saying Boschkop. Hope this helps...
