Fishing at Hole-in-the-wall

Hi,

Myself and a few guys from work are going to hole in the wall on the 23 May for 7 days.

I need to know what bait to take with and any other usefull information will be appreciated..

Personally i would take sardine- to catch shad and other live bait.

Chokka the ice white from lucitania, most bait shops have it.

Mackrel always good for a slide.

Bonnies, good to slide whole, and make blob baits.

Never leave prawn out for that nice edible for the pan.

With this bait you can make all types of combinations

Take sards for the Shad....spoon or small rapala also deadly...quick and clean...you may wanna take a kiddies pool for keeping the shad alive.

Some Mackies, Bonnies, Sardas, Yellow Tail for the slide - depending what you can get and how big a bait you wanna slide. The live Shad will be first choice though...also live Black Tail & Stumpies.

Some Chokka for the Kob and to make some "blob baits" for scratching.

Some prawns for the Bronze Bream at Black Rock. You can also add some Prawn or Sard to your Kob baits and other eds baits.

Pity you guys are going now from the 23rd. We are 6 guys going from the 6th of June to the 16th. Please let us know how it went.

We ordered all our bait from a guy down in Cape Town who is then shipping it to Gauteng for us

I will be up the from the 12 May till the 19th (or longer if the fishing is good). I will be targeting edibles only. I'll post a report from there and let you know what the conditions are like at the Hole in the wall. Wish me luck.

Does anyone know what is the most suitable fishing weather for these areas and also on what tide to fish?
