Hey guys so I was at impekweni for the weekend and was supposed to fish at fish point for some sharkies ,well we got there at 11 on fri morn and I snuck off to the beach to scout the conditions well ice cold and weed everywhere like a rasta party I was bummed hey .anyway the little ones wanted to catch a feeeeesh in the river so out came their stumpie slayers and carnage ensued so while I'm being kept busy I notice a few decent chases on the water I'm thinking leerie skippie ? Manage to palm the kids of to their moms and we realize we have no lures or dropshot stuff ,so out comes the net and chop chop we got mullet lekker now I decide to fish all natural just tie a 6/0 circle onto the leader lip hook the mullet I hand picked and out she goes now just to control it , man it was 1 min flat when my mullet bailed 1 big boil/splash I open the bail arm and let it go 10m and engage vas the fish takes off peeling braid one time after a nice box I land my second leerie ever we take pics and back she goes ,and on goes a fresh mullet this one really didn't want to swim out there and about 10min later it got smashed I let the fish run 10m and set the circle joh this fish is fast it is spooling me up past the bridge and on I bail into the water and swim/wade after jees my grinder is on one fast diet I manage to turn the skippy now I'd its a big one and after some more games at the bridge I get my hand around its tail wow lekka fight hey a couple pics and back she goes . Thengot my swaer onto another skippy also released ,that night another mullet got smoked but no hookup we then hammered the spotties on sard baits what a jol also got a cobbie of 3kg .
The next morn early with the sparrows out go more livies and 4 hits 2 hookups 1 landed another leerie at about lunch time I went to the bridge was joined by my father in law who was battling, my first mullet got hammered in 5sec but the fish left it so I cast it again as it was still ok then after 3 monster smashes I'm on with the mother of skippies after a 200m run the circle pulls dam but I think I would have been spooled anyway that was a monster my father in law eventually gets a on and lands a leerie .
This morning we got the kids up early and got them stuck into the spotties what a jol hey they went wild .
I have pics of nearly all the fish caught and nearly all where released exept the cobbie and 4 grunter/spottie , will post the pics as soon as I have them all ,cheeres :wfish::S

LOL, then you're excused. I'm not so lucky I've got a heap of mullet and a Kob head but I need some spotty heads. I also need to find some occies, I just can't seem to find any at the moment.
We need to plan a serious shark trip to Duck Pond or Fish Point so you can use some of that bait.

Awesome spot ,I did some work on one of those houses in my plumbing days ,there is a head of a massive cob on a pole that was caught in that river
