Hey Guys

Shark attack in fish hoek was a swimmer, if you check on news24 there are some galleries and footage of the shark after the attack, the guy has lost his right leg and is in hospital,

I hope all is well and that the man recovers well.

the swell was huge in the bay the whites conserve energy by riding the swells , just enough forward movement to get water through the gills we often see whites in the back line doing this when the swells are big

Holy mackerel!...years ago we used to hunt white steenbras in this Clovelly corner up to the Kalkbay point and further out for yellowtail when conditions were favourable.

They were buggers to shoot...never saw greatwhites there (except once @ deep Castle at Millers Point past the Simonstown side)

I now live in KZN and have not spearfished for years.

Shite! thats a monster...no chance if he decides to attack...probably looking for the odd unwary seal but if the pickings are few then you are next on the menu.

they always there , there is a resident white between fish hoek and millers same tagged fish patrols the same area each year. more whites are being seen because more people are making the effort to look out for them . a few years ago the helicopter trips from the waterfront and airport round the peninsula started at muizenberg to cape piont, then over sea piont back to the water front now they fly from strand to the piont for the very reason people want to see sharks .like with all wild animals common sense needs to be used , you dont climb out of your car in the kruger to go swim in the water hole.If the flags are out sirens go off, people are on the beach taking photos of the shark dont go swim right then.
