Thanks
Wayne

Is there any 1 out there that could advise me on which fish finder works well for a fishing ski. I found some info on the nett, but is not sure if it's gonna bee practical.
Is a portable fish finder not better than a fix 1 ?
I'm lost.

Welcome to the Sealine family, you WILL BE HAPPY HERE!!!

Listen check out the boating section there's a topic in there that covers some of the issues on portable fishfinders.

In short rather get one fixed to the ski and power it with a smallish motorcycle batt rather than a huge heavy car batt....

but read the posts it should give you some direction on what to do?

Hey Chrisman. You are going full hog into this fishing and your wife is going to miss you stacks. Enjoy every moment of life as if it were your last as I do. I know life is very short and my grandparents told me that and I try to live each day to the fullest and that means fishing. Keep up catching and strive for the one that gives you the best fight, that keeps the adrenalin pumping and keeps us going. No galjoen today but kept getting tied up in kelp. Four throws all lost in the kelp. Speak later and when are you moving to struisbaai? Regards Mark
