Hey Guy's.
I have been watching the forum for quite some and have learnt a great deal from you already! I have been targeting mermaids for quite a while now and recently started using artlures with a fair amount of success. Untill I went through these forums, I had only used spinnerbaits and soft plastics and although they worked, they were not that consistent.
Yesterday I popped down to my local tackle dealer and bought a lipless crankbait by Strike Pro called the Red Eye Shad in a chartreuse colour and went down to my local pond and drilled two good fish within minutes! Just like the fabled Slider, it has a great wobble when it falls thought the water column. One fish I caught by using a jig and drop retrieve while the other I caught by jiggling it under a tree. Both takes were epic! Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge as I never would have though a bait like this could work!
Regards,
Riaan
