Hi guys,

Seeing as spring is coming up, i would like to plan my first camping trip away. Does anyone have any advice on a good place that is female friendly as well. Tips regarding bait etc would be appreciated.

I was looking at Leboya Bay. Any tips on what works at this place.

Thanks in advance:fishn

Leboya bay is allright for the family etc, but not for hard fishing. If the water level is low there is not that much place to fish. Also, there lots and lots of small yellow fish. Like litteraly hand size.

Oh, and if you do a search on Laboya bay you will find a lot of information, like combos, distances etc.

The water is also verry shallow

hey i will ecco what every one else says,

leboya bay has nice facilities taken care of
and would make for nice easy camping
power, shade, braai, water etc.

but your fishing in shallow water
and will mainly catch small fish there

cant really say much about what works there or combo's
they bite on every thing, which could be nice for the kids?

Hi Micks,

I agree with Steve & ccole, dimalachite is a definate number one option and close to Parys so if your lady friend/wife gets bored she can take a trip off into town!

Sorry for the hijack.....

@Dewalds you say your best catch is 47 fish in a 3 hour session, where was that? I want some of that action :wfish:wfish:wfish

It was during December 2012 at oranjeville. Mostly carp and mudfish. Not monsters but averaging on 1kg per fish:)
