Just got my dropshot setup sorted, Bought a Penn Sargus 4000 with mustad braid and a 9ft loomis n Franklin rod. Already got a small sand shark on the rod, and it seemed to cope well.
I was just thinking, does plastic baits work in the western cape area, have not caught one fish on it and it looks like alot of money to spend, while normal bait (chokka, white mussel, Rooi ass) just work.
Any spots in false bay up to struisbaai area that has delivered descent fish on plastic D/S? Until then I prefer my light tackle angling with bait.
