Fire Line

Guys,

 

I have 15lbs fire line on one of my bass reels that I can put on my dropshot reel. 

 

Am I correct that 15lbs fire line has the same diameter as 6lbs nylon?

 

Do I need to go down to 8lbs fire line or is 15lbs ok?

15lb is biggish Gerhard, but it should work. Just make sure you use a Fluorocarbon leader...

Gerhard - 15lbs is fine mate... but as Reefer says, just make sure you got a mono or flouro leader and you'll be good... I fish 20lb Braid on my dropshot set up.... works great!
