I see more and more people are posting and requesting info on dams.. but not many are returning the favour.. I am to do my part..

just a note on the topic.. if we are really to make this forum a success... then you "should" post a report for every question you ask.. that way we can do searches on more updated posts of all our recent visits and not having to wonder it the post thats a year old is still relevant..

so..

Cilliers.. 24 April (the coldest day so far 2010)

Fishing was difficuilt ... it rained as we left and was cold as hell ..

Got there is rain and wind from front.. started with some dough in the ball .. did not work well .. took too long... tried one sweet and one strong .. strong rod beast and activator.. sweet rod.. has been and FX..

nadda.. reloaded and came in closer fished 40-6 meters.. picked ups some fish .. beast and tcp.. maintained with the weet krod.. did some fruit flavours and got some grasscarp.. this kept my fish rate up.. carp was few.. but they liked TCp.. i found that the normal rietvlei worked better this time round.. and then.. even better was using floatie and dough on top hool .. this enabled faster bites.. at the end BS32 woked best.. with the perdeby.. (strong spicy flavours)

my gound feed was not up to scratch .. i tried ground kaboem but this did not work well .. as it was not what i normally use.. in colder water you need softer groundfeed but it was difficuilt casting far with it..

so in short.. rietvlei.. Perdeby and TCP.. floaties and dough.. soft plain groundbait.. at 60 m..

Weighed 7 keepers... wiight of 3.25kg and bout 110pts.. not good but under the conditions we did well..

the trick is that your penmate does well too.. the one chap next to us was nailing the fish but his partner was not foing well.. at the end our consistency slow but steady .. gave us the edge to clip them in overall points telly..

we were bout 3rd in the zone.. willse the results.. tomorrow.

Agree... I hate reading though endless words to get to the goodstuff..

We can type our life story if we want to but we need to summarise..

Bait, distance. dips, traces and conditions etc. vital stuff

Wot type of league/comp were you fishing G?
I usualy post a comprehensive report, but thats for me (save them under my account as quick reference where ever i am. Schwieeet!) But i'll try and remember to post you a summary after each post :

JPS... I was not taking a stab at comprehensive reports.. just wanted to stress the importance of the summary at the end.. ;-)

Im in the Mpumalanga Leaugue.. we fished the second League match at Cilliers last week sat ..

At the Club meeting last nite I relised I may have done the best from our club at the Leauge Match.. but will see what the official results say.
