so initially i have decided to fish zeekoevlei with my boy, to show him some new waters for a change. as we got there we had a strong, icy south westerly blowing right in our faces. so after about 45 minutes we decided to call it quits and rather move to the dams close to home.
from the first casthe was into fish, and got a couple hidings aswell, but in the end he managed 3 big tilapia, 2 nice carp(biggest around 4kg), and a koi carp.
this morning when he woke up, he told me again "die karp is sterk en breek sy lyn", lol.
one sad part was that a 8 /9 year old boy came to sit with us, and randomly mentioned to me that he wish that his dad can also come fishing with him....but he has to work every day..
