Fancy lube sprays

I'd like to get an idea of which products people use on and off the water and for which applications - specifically the spray lubes. I'm talking Q20, Spanjaard etc. I have a silicone spray that is supposed to be good for everything but the Q20 can boasts a "Silicone free formula". So what's wrong with silicone? Waht about getting silicone spray on your fishing line, be it mono or braid - would that be a bad thing?

cheers!

I'm no expert but for my two cents
Keep Q20 as far from your reels & line as possible it stuffs Monofiliment lines up completely and can also damage some sponge rod buts I only use it to clean the insides of reels during services to get rid of old grease. Spanjaard makes a Specific spray lube for tackle which is a much safer bet.
PS don't be scared to give the can a touch of it's own medicine a rusted through aerosol can makes for an interesting discovery

There is a new product on the market called FLUID FILM which works very well on outboards. Most tackle shops around CT carry it around R100 for the large tin.

The only thing I can think off that wrong with silicone is that it is very hard to clean off and "nothing" sticks to it.

If you own a duck, the pure silicone spray is good for cleaning and protecting the pontoons. I have used WD40 on my takle for years with no problems.
