Exage 11ft Heavy rod grinder recommendation.

Hi All.

I currently have a Exage 11ft rod (Multiplier Heavy). Currently looking at getting a Grinder for the rod for scratching / eds fishing.

Which grinder size will suite the rod best?:
Shimano 4000/5000 size?

5000 Shimano should be perfect yes...

I have a Penn battle 5000 paired with my 110h . I am still getting used to it. COVID pulled the breaks on me. Wanted test it for Gallies.

Setup for grinder different to multiplier or are you going to use it in multiplier configuration with a bionic finger? I'd use a size 8000-10000 shimano reel to balance one of those rods, i used to use a sustain 10000 or finnor lethal 60 on mine. A battle 5000/6000 is about the same size reel. That rod is a bit too heavy for scratching maybe, I use mine for cracker fishing off cliffs and livebaiting off cliffs and points etc..or use to use it for heavy spinning. For scratching i prefer something a little longer not much but that bit longer for distance, and something more sensitive which the 11ft exage heavy is not. But if you need to skulldrag a fish up the beach it does that well!

Echo that.
Only recently changed over to grinder setup but still hardcore multiplier fanatic. Sl30 to pair with that Exage.
For grinder prefer softer tip action in a rod.
