Anyone got any info/experience regarding the Stealth Evolution Duo Ski. Is there anyone on this forum that owns one. How is the handling thru the surf in/out, and out beyond the surf zone. Is it possible for 2x paddlers with reasonable skill to remain on this ski while coming back thru the surf. Ive read that instability in the Evolution range needs getting used to. Post a New Topic

For what its worth, i have a pre-evolution (original) duo as well as an evo 430 and i think that two reasonably experienced paddlers will have no problem. They're nice and fast. i've taken a few novices with me without drama; mostly as long as just one of you can do it, you'll be ok - two complete novices may be umm... interesting - then i'd say learn in calmer waters.
remember these are fishing skis which provide a stable fishing platform, and not super-narrow racing surf-skis.
here's a pic of Rog's boat - this particular day was an absolute glass-off.

Thanx Fredster, & the pic is awsome. Its for myself & the wife. I dont know if there are many women that do this kind of activity but she seems pretty excited
. She enjoys fishing as much as I do. We are new to this. Done the Dusi & paddle skie'd for many yrs. But just wanted info on stability of this model. We are inland dwellers & intend using the evo on inland waters & the ocean. I'll try to get hold of yr mate Rog Cheers Bud.

I'll try to get hold of yr mate Rog Cheers Bud. cool mate; with a modicum of paddling experience im sure you'll be fine on the paddle / balance side. As for the fishing side, try pick the brains/steal with your eyes or ask questions and do research on the site and you'll see from the guys that do it alot what works and what doesn't.

Hey hit it we got the evo dbl its a very nice ski in that you have 2 hatches and its not to unstable. Its not as stable as my erics tunny but was similar to the popes(dont know if you have used either of them).
Only problem i have had with it is that the back of the ski is very low in the water. So if there is any swell at all the person sitting there is constantly getting wet and if you need something from the dry hatch you need to time it right so everything does not get wet. You can see in the photo that the back half is half the size of the front and how low it is on such a calm day.
When it comes to launching we have never had a problem with the ski, you can get quite a bit of speed easily enough. Coming in is always a mission and cant really say its any harder than any other ski.
My dad has done a write up on sealine before with a comparison of all the dbl skis if you do a search on it im sure its around somewhere.
One real nice thing bout the dbl is that paddling is alot easier than with a single.
