Fishing off the wall is very uncomfortable and almost impossible to land a fish without hurting yourself or the fish.
We fish there allot during our lunch breaks.The best spot used to be just inside the botanical gardens by the concrete slab there. But some dumb guy drowned trying to save his dog in the water and now a No Fishing sign welcomes you that side.
What worked for us is green or black colored thick worms with tails.
We also have a few runs on a small bass crank's
Last year during our lunch hours we prob managed a grand total of 20 odd bass
This year our total is on 1 barbel since the No Fishing sign at the botanical gardens.
Your best bet would be a float tube to get to the nice spots again.
The other fishable bank seems to be to shallow for the bass.
Even casting 30-40m with cranks have gotten us nowhere.
The wall has a 2-3m drop that you have to then fish off even if you manage to catch something putting the poor fish back from that side is going to be a mission
I would say without a float tube dont waste too much time.

Fish there quite regularly during spring and summer - fishing very slow during colder winter months, but not impossible.
Make most of my catches off the wall with weightless flukes (watermelon gold/red, junebug) choosing a colour depending on water clarity. Have also had success with big curly tail grubs (Zoom Fat Alberts) that give off bit of a vibration.
Jerkbaits fished erratically also work quite well, and don't forget to throw a spinnerbait in the shallows off the shore next to the road.
Over the last 2 years I've seen a lot of people removing fish from Emmarentia, and I've also experienced a decline in catches.
My biggest weighed in at about 1.5 kg, but the average size is under a kg, so landing fish off the wall won't really be a problem.
The biggest bass I've seen must have been 3kg+ earlier this year. It was just cruising close to the sluices, but I couldn't entice it to bite.
