well hello guys, another Capetonian here. discovered this forum by accident looking for fishing goodies on google.

i am a newbie to the game... started fishing say 2 weeks ago... so needles to say im still learning to cast heheheheeeee...

well i have updated my details... i have a 12 foot Black eagle rod, daiwa sealine sl50sh reel...

took my first cast on monday night with the new equipment... lets just say the sinka didnt go to far but i had to pack up and go home, so bad the eagle nest was... bwahahahaahahaaa... but practise makes perfect.. going to try again tonight, this time i will be tightning the spool up a bit more. still need to get the perfect settings :D fun times ahead

Hi Dubs

Have a chat with Coxy......he seems to have a similar problem.....I have given him a few tips,.....he is gonna try it out this weekend.....

PS....don't take the wifes knitting needles when you go fishing..

hey dinesh thanks for the referal...
but i went to practise yesterday again and i only got a minor over run, nothing to hectic... so i have the swing of things again... wooohhhhoooo ::H
well i was having so much fun that i thru the sinka clean off my line :D i had 2 4 ounce sinkas on... heheheehheee

not desperate.. was just having plenty fun :) heheheeeee..
looking to get more distance heheheheeheheee...
ya saturday afternoon sounds good coz i need to help the wife clean house first :(

I live in Fish Hoek and fish mainly False Bay from Kalk Bay (why, I don't know?!?!?)::H to Gordon's Bay.

Occasionally we do day trips to Bettys Bay and Langebaan, so if you're keen we can let you know when we're going out, in case you wanna join us.

I'm gonna test drive some new casting tips this week-end so will keep you posted.

will let you know but like i said im still new to the game.. im so new i dont even have a tool boxie for my hooks and sinkas :?... going to game for fishing tool boxie :)... so the day trips to langebaan and bettys bay, mossel bay is out for now... throwing Stranfontein and strand area for now... i live in Mitchells plain... takes me 3 mins to get to Strandfontein :) heheheheheeee

but i surely will be hooking up with you gys in the near future :D
