Elf go mad 4 glowing chokka

Hey all

Last night I fished one of our local PE spots (Pollock Beach).

I decided early in the evening to put out a massive chokka bait, in hopes to pick up a nice Kob that fequent these spots. I threw my bait out with a heavy rod and 8oz sinker. Bait discription = Large foam, 8o hook, lumo squid eyes and glow stick. Same bait that Hennie Papenfus caught that huge cuta with, off the beach in his dvd(BIG FISH SAFARI) but i just made it bigger an added a glow stick.

I had a nice nock after about 10min an on the retrieve lost what was on, as the hook failed to set. So i think...

As my bait came closer I noticed Elf chasing my bait and banging it out the water at times. These fish were going ape for this bait. The first hookup was foul as i hooked the fish in the gill. Hahaha I could'nt believe it.

I rigged up a lighter rod and put out a normal Shad trace and sardines and had little to no action. When I rigged up the chokka an glow stick the games were on again.

I had the greatest time as I caught a smiling 19 fish in the space of 3hours, It was like a mixture of Bass fishing and Tiger Fishing. I had'nt had so much fun in a long time.

Please I need to state for the record: Each an every single Elf was put back into the sea, None were tagged but all lengths recorded.

I seen guys at Blue Lagoon catching undersize shad and the sad part of it all is that the idiots don't return it to its natural habitat they take it home.  Thats why when you fish at Blue Lagoon all you hear is things are bad not even a bite.

cheers
