Does anybody have any experience with repairing a fishfinder, or know of a place where I can repair mine?

My hummingbird which came with the boat that I bought does not work. When I opened it, I could clearly see a blown cap on the circuit board, and I assume that, the cap is the only problem?

It looks like I have found someone via a friend of a friend who knows someone. Apparently a big tackle shop on Zambesi drive can have a look at the Fishfinder, and see if they can repair it... Will keep you guys updated with the results .

If it was a Furuno, you could just send it to any of the Radio Holland outlets.

They have subberd personnel in Paarden Island, Cape Town.
